How to Use This Wiki
Reading, editing, linking pages and getting your work verified.
Contents
Welcome to the Project Strife Community Wiki, an unofficial, player-run wiki for Project Strife. Anyone can read it, and anyone with an account can write.
Reading
- Use the search bar in the header to find pages by title or content.
- Browse by category from the home page.
- Recent lists the latest edits across the wiki.
Signing in
Click Sign in and continue with Discord or Google. Your display name and avatar come from that account.
Creating a page
- Click New page in the header, or New page here inside a category.
- Give it a clear title (it becomes the URL, e.g.
How to Use This Wiki→/wiki/how-to-use-this-wiki). - Pick a category and write a one-line summary.
- Write the content in Markdown and check the Preview tab before saving.
Before creating a page, search first. If it already exists, improve it instead.
Editing a page
Click Edit on any page. Add a short edit summary (e.g. "fixed Archer skill names") so others know what changed.
Formatting cheat sheet
| You type | You get |
|---|---|
## Heading | Section heading |
**bold** / *italic* | bold / italic |
- item | Bullet list |
1. step | Numbered list |
[[Classes]] | Link to another wiki page: Classes |
[[Classes|all classes]] | Link with custom text |
[text](https://…) | External link |
`code` | Inline code |
Tables use the | a | b | syntax shown in this page's source. Use Add image in the editor to upload PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP (max 4 MB).
Linking to a page that doesn't exist yet is fine. It shows readers what still needs writing.
Verification
Pages start unverified and show a grey note. A page becomes verified when:
- an editor or admin verifies it, or
- 4 players click Looks correct (your account must be at least 3 days old, and you can't vote on your own latest edit).
Any edit removes verification, so the checkmark always means "the current text was checked".
History & mistakes
Every edit is saved. Open History on a page to see older versions and Restore one if something went wrong or a page was vandalized.
Writing guidelines
- Be accurate. Write what you've confirmed in-game. If unsure, say so.
- Be neutral. Guides can have opinions; data pages should stick to facts.
- No real-money trading, account selling, exploits or hacks.
- Don't copy other sites' text word for word; write it in your own words.
- Be kind to other editors. Disagree in the edit summary, not by edit-warring.
Accounts that vandalize or spam get banned by admins.
